1971 Buick GS 455, original 455 CAR but has a NOM 71 455
Car sat from 1995-2017 in a garage until I purchased it in 2017 from the second owner
MOTOR
71 455 not original to the car
Motor is strong, 10 to 1 pistons, 413 T/A cam, Edelbrock intake,750 Holley, it does have the distributor and exhaust manifolds from  the original motor.
TRANSMISSION
Original turbo 400, I put new seals and a pan gasket, also installed a 2500 Hughs converter, new fluid and filter works great no issues
REAREND
Stock 10 bolt BOP, single track
INTERIOR
The interior is all original to the car, front seat has a very small tear in the top corner, rear seat had a repair done at one time for a rip, fair job see picture. Headliner, Dash, Door panels are good with no major issues, one armrest is torn. Carpet is worn, does have the original Buick floormats, aftermarket radio from the 90's that works. Overall the inside is in good original condition,I do not have the original steering wheel, it does have the tach and gauges, everything works BUT the gas gauge. it is the gauge itself that is bad.,
BODY
The body does have some bubbles but overall is pretty decent. The passenger side rear quarter and door were replaced in the early 90.s due to a car hitting it when it was parked, it was just an ok job could have lined up better in my opinion( see picture )  There is some bubbles behind the driver door and a few in the drivers quarter. The car is straight looking door the sides, the paint is a 10 footer. The hood and trunk have some fading, it does have some paint chips, the car was painted when they installed the quarter panel, it is the original color. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES, I have tried to high light the bubbles that it has.
UNDERSIDE
Floors are original and really great shape, one hole about the size of a dime front corner, Trunk is very nice, no rust holes anyplace, Frame is solid no rust, the underside is all original and solid. the pictures I have is when it was getting exhaust put on.
TOP
The top is very weathered but there is no bubbles or rust under it from what I can tell, tops can be tricky sometimes for rust but visually it looks good, it is very weathered and will need replace ( see picture )
I purchased the car in 2017 from the second owner, he gave it to his son on his 18th birthday in 1995 and he blew the motor. They intended to fix it but it never happened.
NEW IN 2018
Gas tank, all new gas lines
Brakes, factory power discs, new rear brakes, all new lines on entire car, new calipers, master cylinder, brake booster
Radiator, all new hoses, transmission lines
New shocks all the around
New 2 1/2 exhaust out the back, Holley Flowgator mufflers, sound good
New BF Goodrich tires all around ( 15 inch )
WHAT IT NEEDS
Brake pedal is hard, the cam it has is not producing enough vaccum for the power disc brakes, I have added a vaccum canister but in town driving the pedal is still pretty hard, it does NOT stop that well,. It needs a vaccum pump added or go manual brakes.I do drive it but you have to pay attention to what is going on. Top needs to be replaced just because of age, rear bumper chrome is faded, bumper is in good shape chrome not so much ( see picture ) front grille has a small piece missing right in the front center ( see picture
Wipers do not work, weather stripping around the side windows is bad and will need replaced,gas gauge does not work, carb has a slight stumble off idle, nothing real bad just being honest.
OVERALL
I have decided not to take it to the next level, to be really nice it needs paint and a top, bumpers rechromed etc. The car drives and rides great,brakes need some attention but overall this is a very solid car, everything  is there, no missing chrome or pieces .Other than the motor and steering wheel the car is 100% original. All the lights, turn signals, gauges ( except gas ) work, windows all roll up and down good.This is a hard car to find, I really have debated on selling it but it sits most of the time and I would rather see someone give it the love it needs.  it does look good in the pictures but it is a 10 footer, I just want to be sure you understand this is no show car but a driver quality car. I have a few other toys.
I have been on Ebay for over 20 years, I have sold some cars so please check my feedback, I may have missed a thing or two but I do my best to be honest, this is a 50 year old car !!
