This is a RACK MOUNTING for your RANGER 2970 series radio  2U (3.5" HIGH by 19") rack mount designed to fit the radio exactly sitting on the CS factory OEM mounting bracket you already have and we enhance audio from the small speaker internally with a nice external speaker and a Magnetic Mike Clip Conversion kit. The radio is NOT included (bet you knew that!)
The radio slides in the rack panel unit just far enough so the bezel is showing. The rack tray is 17" wide by 14" deep. The radio is secured to the tray by using the factory OEM trunnion/ mobile mounting bracket & bolts .  In case you lost your radio mounting bracket we can supply you with 4 of the generic 90 degree "L" brackets (shown but are NOT INCLUDED unless you let us know you need them).  PLEASE note that you will need to drill the holes for the bracket(s) to the proper location YOU prefer for placement of the depth of the radios; the tray isn't designed for only this radio; we use it for all types so this is the only work you will have to do other than slip the Magnetic Mike Clip converter pad onto the back of your mike and tighten the screw.
The PANEL is bolted to the TRAY at the corners by means of our Corner Bracket Kit (INCLUDED) and that accommodates the users that need them together; the handle bolts are used to secure the bracket and the TRAY WINGS have 2 fabricated holes in them for you to just put them together with the hardware included. (SEE the picture)

Please note that the latest version of the 2U and 3U rack trays have been updated at no additional cost to be full-rack-width of 17.354" wide internally just like the prior 4U rack has always been. This allows for more equipment to be installed on the tray and was done by very popular demand. NOTE that when we build you a custom model that does not have handles then the current tray does not bolt to the panel. Just CALL and ask about any options you would like beyond this model.
