Yaesu FT-847 Rack Mount With Speaker and Optional 30 Amp Power Supply!NovexComm - 1(310) 534-4456
M-F 10am-6pm Pacific Time (west coast)
This rack mount is specifically designed for the FT-847 radio. We make the same product with different sized cutouts for almost any radio, and we can rack mount almost ANY radio.
Panel is 3U Size (5.25 inches, 13.32 cm) x 19 inches wide (EIA Standard rack panel) - also available (on special order) in 23 inch width (or any other width) if you need it; please ask!
If you want we can add on an optional 110/220v (switchable) 30 amp DC power supply mounted behind the speaker (see the pictures) and mounted right to the tray for only 0 additional (that's cheaper than the factory supply and unlike theirs doesn't take up any rack space); see the picture of how it can look for you.
The PANEL can be mounted to the TRAY at the corners using our custom corner brackets (optional). This makes mounting and removing the assembly from the rack much easier for a cost of only
The Magnetic Mike Clip is a great upgrade; everyone knows that the clip included with that stock mike is not all that great; Novexcomm fixes it with this; you only drill one hole in the mike back to put the "iron pad" on the back to make it stick to the magnet. When you grasp the mike just rotate your wrist a few degrees and the magnet lets go allowing you to pull the mike straight-away from the front panel. These clips are Public Safety rated; these are the absolute best thing going. We have done hundreds of these and will convert YOUR mike at no charge; just send it to us!
This rack mount has a speaker mounted to the panel next to the radio... Our speakers are brand new (no surplus here!), 8 ohms, can handle up to 5 watts of peak audio (more audio than most radios). We use the same speaker that MFJ calls the model 281 "Clear Voice" speaker - they have a full rich tone that works great on SSB, CW signals as well as AM Short-wave and FM programming. They use a 3" Mylar cone that will last a long time even in the worst environments (like shipboard marine).
Want a special made with your call sign in RED or BLUE backlighted LED lights? We make custom rack panels including laser stencil cut text; see our web site for sample photos and we sell then in other auctions, or call us and ask for a quote!
We will help you design your shack to fit more in!
We will help you build your portable case "Go Box" too...call and ask how we make it custom for you - and we'll do it right!

Silly disclaimers we have to say: Any radios, tuners, accessories, etc. shown are not included in this auction. We can't afford to have a sample of every radio ever made sitting around here just for photos so many of our images are Photoshopped. Some of them aren't even of the right radio; in some cases we put a photo of a similar radio there just to give you an idea of what our rack panel will look like when you mount your radio into it.
