Description

Antique James Wardle Co Majolica Painted Ceramic rice or finger bowl. The bowl has a lovely pink/purple hue inside and a bird on a fan amongst cherry blossoms on the outside.
There is a crack as shown but the bowl is a wonderful old example of some early Wardle work - it appears to be early 1800's.
It is 5 1/8" wide x 2 1/2" deep
The exterior has a low relief pattern and the bottom is stamped with the early Wardle made in England symbol.
I am not an expert but did extensive research to find the maker and aprox. age of this piece.
