This auction is for 8-pairs(16-axles) of the highest quality ball bearing "G" Scale train wheels on the market(enough to retrofit four train cars). These wheels use sealed bearings that cannot rust like other brands. The axles are stainless steel and will not rust. These  wheels are standard replacements size for plastic(or metal) wheels on USA Trains, LGB, AMS, Bachmann, AristoCraft, Delton, Piko, and  Heartland train cars.
Ball bearing wheels eliminate the drag induced in curve track because of the two different radii of the inner and outer rails.  Without ball bearings on the axles, to make the wheels roll independently, one wheel rolls and one wheel skids; the tighter the  turn the more skidding and the more drag induced on the locomotive. Your locomotives can pull longer trains due to less friction!
All of these wheel sets were purchased off of Al Kramer(ana.kramer), on eBay, over the past several years. These sets are extras and  have never been used on the rails. I use these wheels on all of my rolling stock and have been very pleased with their performance.  One additional note, they make your layout sound just like the real thing; as the metal wheels go over a joint in the track they make  a clicking sound.
