George Jones Majolica Cow Cheese dome

Description

Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica cheese dome and stand. Decorated with a band of overlapping acanthus leaves on turquoise ground, with a recumbent brown cow finial on top of dome. Leaves around rim of stand within yellow rope twist borders. Mauve interior. Air hole to top of cover. Mottled underside to stand with three stilt marks inside the foot. Minor chip on a green leaf (can easily be touched up) some small marks on lavender plate ! View photos carefully!
