    Description

    Stamping Machine Perma Products Model 4. This machine was originally used for a business making duplicate stamped metal Social Security cards.  It includes around 150 blank cards of various types as well as a vintage salesman's book with many different cards that could be purchased at the time.  It can stamp names and numbers in soft metal such as brass or aluminum dog tags or machine tags.  The tag on this machine was probably made on a similar machine.  I played some with it and it seems to work fine. Once the tag is mounted in the machine, pull the lever down and it will stamp the selected number and then index to the next space and ready to select the next digit by turning the dial to the letter or number as needed.
