This is a superb Minton
majolica sardine box with the decoration around the circumference, dolphin feet and to the lid trio of fish which forms a handle of which:
During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the 19th century

Unmarked but: confirmed as Minton.
Of an English origin

Internally majolica blue.
Fixed tray to the base.
It has an overall height of about 4.75i
nches.
Overall max size of about 9 x 8inches.
Inner size of about 5.75 x 4.5inches.
Size of lid of about 5.5 x 4.25inches.
Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is not subject to any major blemishes except:
minor chipping and nibbles to the inner edge.
