FDC produced for the set of 4 stamps issued by the Republic of Togo in honor of President John F. Kennedy, issued in Lome, Togo, on March 7, 1964 (Sc. 473-74, C41). The stamps were originally issued in honor of President Abraham Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation, but were overprinted with an inscription in honor of President Kennedy following his assassination. Black cachet produced by Artcraft, featuring a photograph of President Kennedy. Unaddressed.
