VINTAGE 1930’s RARE LITTLE LULU KNICKERBOCKER TOY CO NY 18” CLOTH DOLL.
Very rare original Little Lulu Doll made by Knickerbocker for the Saturday Evening Post. From what we have been able to research this doll was only available by mail through the Saturday Evening Post in the early 30’s. This doll we believe came in this solid red dress with striped socks or a small red dot dress with matching socks.
Condition
Stitching still looks very tight. Doesn’t appear to have any rips. The dress is pinned in back as well as her undergarment. The red dress is faded as pictured. Hands and legs have no visible stains. Light age dust / dirt to feet. Original Saturday Evening Post Tag that came with doll is pinned to the front of her shirt. Her painted face is still very colorful with some light crack lines on her forehead and a couple tiny lines on her checks. Hair is black yarn and is a little thin in some spots on the back. Overall this is a beautiful looking doll that still has plenty of life in it. Needs a good home and would be a great addition to any doll collection. In 15 years or research only a handful of these dolls have ever been on the open market.
